The collection Perfect World is inspired by the experiences of discrimination, injustice, and violence faced by FLINTA* individuals within the patriarchal world we live in. Rooted in my master thesis Doing Gender in Fashion Design, which explores gender-specific stereotypes and their restrictive impact on individuality and self-expression, this collection transforms these concepts into artistic expression.

Stories full of emotions—often held against women as flaws—such as anger, sadness, vulnerability, but also strength, liberation, and self-determination, serve as the main inspiration and have been transformed into the collection. These emotions are embedded in the choice of materials, surfaces, bold contrasts, silhouettes, patterns, and meaningful symbols.

The collection invites viewers to (re)think and challenges preconceived ideas about gender and clothing. Elements such as reversed shirts, overly long sleeves, a missing glove, and unfinished edges provoke questions about societal expectations and open the door to alternative possibilities. In doing so, Perfect World fosters a deeper understanding of diversity and individuality as enriching and empowering forces for everyone.
